Alumni session on rights and hostel life
Namaste All,
The objective of yesterday’s (28th Decembe)r sessions was to provide students with real-world role models.
Speaker: Ms. Anoushka (Samutkarsh 2019 Batch, LLB 6th Semester)
Topic: Analyse Before You React and Understanding your rights.
Anoushka taught students that knowledge of our Fundamental Rights is not just for lawyers, but a tool for every citizen. Students learned to pause and analyze situations before reacting, helping them respond with logic rather than impulse.
Speaker: Ms. Sonal (Samutkarsh 2018 Batch, BCom 2nd Sem with Integrated UPSC, Chanakya University)
Topic: Hostel Life and Materialistic Detachment.
Drawing from her experience in an integrated UPSC program at Chanakya University, Sonal addressed the realities of hostel life and the necessity of self-reliance. She introduced the concept of materialistic detachment, explaining how reducing distractions is vital for long-term goal achievement. Her session helped students visualize the discipline required for high-stakes competitive exams.
Speaker: Ms. Trisha Jadala (BCom 6th Sem, KLE JG College & International Athlete)
Topic: Resilience, Records, and Social Responsibility
Trisha’s session was a masterclass in dedication. Her journey is defined by extraordinary statistics that served as a major inspiration for the students:
The Medal Count: Over a decade of competition, she has earned 6 Bronze, 13 Silver, and a staggering 47 Gold Medals.
Global Representation : As the first girl from Dharwad District to compete internationally, she shared her experiences winning:
*Bronze Medal : 2024 World Skate Games, Italy.
*Silver Medal : 2025 Asian Championship, South Korea.
Trisha highlighted her role as an NCC Cadet (C Certificate holder) and her "Social Warrior" initiative, where she skated 610 km from Karwar to Bangalore to advocate for girl child protection and road safety .
Students developed a clear understanding of the importance of goal setting and the SWOT framework in shaping their personal and academic growth. The principle that “ a goal without action is just a dream” particularly resonated with them, reinforcing the importance of discipline, implementation, and continuous effort in achieving meaningful outcomes.
Dhanyavaad 🙏
